This is the release post for the SALAD set's monthly planner code. Don't forget to head over to the SALAD release hub to see the other codes released as part of this pack!
I got my first request for a monthly RP planner back in like, 2022. When I tell you, I spent MONTHS looking at planner printables, spreadsheets, and templates trying to figure out what would be (a) useful to a writer with better organizational skills than me, (b) unique enough to differentiate it from what was already available -- man this project PLAGUED me lmao.
The end result, though, is SALAD Monthly RP Planner. Out of the box, this code comes with a quick link list, NOTES and PRIORITY sections for blocks of text, a streamlined thread tracker, a to do checklist, and a more simple list/line-item code for whatever else. All of its subsections can be shuffled around, and you can pull subsections from other SALAD codes and use them in this one.
Grab the code for the pre-styled planner below, and don't forget to check out the How To Use section! My thanks to those who put in requests and had to wait forever for this one. I really hope it (or some customized version of it) fits your needs!
MONTHLY PLANNER CODE:
HOW TO USE:
❣️ Mind those lj-raw tags!!
❣️ This code is mobile compatible and insane journal friendly!
❣️ While this set is modular, it doesn't make for good Frankenstein fodder. What that means is, I can't guarantee it'll play nice with other codes (like '98, TAYNE, or codes made by other creators) without some amount of code tweaking, so combine with other codes at your own risk.
❣️ You can apply a seamless tiling background to the outer wrapper. Replace the BG_HERE placeholder text with the URL for the image you'd like to use. The stuff at transparenttextures.com works great for this!
❣️ Other instances of IMG_URL are for applying backgrounds to links or labels. I'd suggest using textures or simple images (like galaxies or photos of textures like fabric/crystals/etc) for these to add a bit of a pop to the code. You can also leave the placeholder text intact and just change the preceding hex code to change the color of a link or label.
❣️ The thread tracker comes with 1 header row and 3 placeholder "thread" entries by default. You can add additional thread entries by copying and pasting where indicated in the code.
❣️ Any other list-type subsection can have additional list items added by copy and pasting a list or checklist item where indicated in the code.
❣️ Don't forget to update all the placeholder text, including headers!
❣️ If you don't want the quick link section, ONLY DELETE THE PLACEHOLDER LINKS. Leave the wrapper for the quick links section intact.
❣️ For the thread tracker: while you can change the text shown on each header, changing the amount of headers requires messing with grids. If you're really hankering for more headers, but aren't comfortable messing with HTML, you can find a variant of JUST the thread tracking portion of the code over at the SALAD hub post.
❣️ Add additional subsections by pasting full codes where indicated. Comments within the code indicate where to add new subsections and where those sections begin and end. You can add as many subsections as you want. Everything will auto-scale!
❣️ By default, colors are standard for all standalone codes and subsections. I encourage you to customize them! Here're the hex codes you'll want to update:
❣️ I love peeking at what people do with my codes, so feel free to comment if you use! If you'd like, you can also donate to my ko-fi!

- hex code #5c4677 - used extensively throughout code; definitely use find and replace to update.
- hex code #fff - white. sub-section background color and font color.
- hex code #232323 - used for borders and shadows.
- hex code #e0d7ea - used for some accents.
