code: SEASONAL (STATIC) - a simple, compact mood board (UPDATED: 1/14/24)
UPDATE 1/14/24: Just noticed the original release of this code had some goofs in the HTML. I've corrected those, removing excess code, correcting some mistakes in the comments, and fixing the issue where the code credit was 75 pixels beneath the code itself lmao. Code now working as intended. ORIGINAL POST CONTENT FOLLOWS.
Merry Draftsmas! Code number six of the release block is SEASONAL (STATIC). Its more complicated sister, SEASONAL (LOCKBOX), will be out hopefully later today, and I'll update this post with a link to it once I've finished the release post.
This very straightforward image board features 5 main image slots, 2 smaller color or image slots, and optional central text that is coded into a link by default. Because it is only 375 pixels wide, it will fit most layouts and mobile screens without any sort of scaling, making aligning images in it pretty breezy. Use this for a splash page, a post topper, whatever!

❣️ This code is mobile compatible and insanejournal friendly!
❣️ Want to use this code as a splash page? Check out Manx's guide to making splash pages on Dreamwidth, or Tess's guide for insanejournal!
❣️ This code has 7 spaces total for images, each with the placeholder text IMG_URL. Change IMG_URL to a URL to update the image.
❣️ If you would like any square to be a solid color and not an image, instead of replacing IMG_URL, change that square's #ccc hex code to whatever color you'd like it to be.
❣️ I would suggest using a simple gif, low detail image, or solid color for the two smaller squares. You get kinda interesting results if you use one portrait ratio image for both squares.
❣️ You can completely remove the text by deleting the entire 'FOREGROUND TEXT' section or just the !!HEADER TEXT!! part.
❣️ Don't want the header text to be a link? Remove the href="#URL_HERE".
❣️ Generally there aren't many colors to mess with here. If you'd like to change the font color of the header text, though, change color:#fff to the color you'd like the text to be.
❣️ This code comes with a credit by default. Appreciate it if you leave it in, but you can delete if you want! :)
