code: THIS IS A HEADER - a multi-use header code
Was in the mood to make something a lil more dynamic than a mood board, and came up with this. THIS IS A HEADER is a simple code that comes in three styles:
HOW TO USE:
❣️ Mind those lj-raw tags!!
❣️ This code is mobile compatible and insanejournal friendly!
❣️ Want to use this code as a splash page for your journal? Check out Manx's guide to making splash pages on Dreamwidth, or Tess's guide for insanejournal!
❣️ IMG_URL is the placeholder for all images. Make sure you search for and replace that placeholder text with the URLs for whichever images you want to use.
❣️ #URL_HERE appears by default only in The Splash Page version of the code. Be sure to change that placeholder, as well as the !!link!! placeholder. You can also add as many additional links as you'd like to the NAVIGATION section on that code. It comes with four by default.
❣️ If you are using the fake LJ cut coding, be sure to change #POST_URL_FOR_CUT to the URL for your post. This means that you will need to actually post the code and then edit the post to update the placeholder text with the proper URL.
❣️ Don't want the fake LJ-cut? Remove all code where indicated -- the comments labeled FAKE LJ-CUT CODE; delete if unwanted and FAKE LJ-CUT CODE; end. You can also remove the href="#POST_URL_FOR_CUT" from the a wrapper on the header text if you want to completely remove the link functionality from that.
❣️ FOR THE WORKS CODE: You can completely remove the default 4 image mood board by simply deleting it where indicated.
❣️ rgba(4, 51, 74, 0.75) is the color for the translucent upper square and header text. To change this color, get the rgb value for the color you'd like to use, and replace the first three numbers with the RGB numbers for your new color.
❣️ hex code #d10034 is the default color for the narrow solid bar and the links on The Splash Page version of the code.
❣️ hex code #f5ecdc only appears on The Works and is used for the background of the larger text area. For best results, stick with a color that is easy to read on.
❣️ hex code #fff (white) is the color for text in the translucent box. White should generally be legible against most colors you'd use on that rectangle, so you likely won't need to change it.
❣️ hex code #1f1f1f is the default plain text color, and is just a slightly off black gray.
❣️ This code comes with a credit at the bottom by default. Appreciate it if you leave it in, but you can delete if you want! :)
