code: FOUR - a mood board/nav code in 4 flavors

Hey! It's been a minute. Sorry. Holidays. I will probably continue to be slow on releases until January, but that's just a few weeks away! (where did 2021 go 😱)
ANYWAY!! This is Four, a combination mood board and navigation code that can be used as a splash page or as a top post for a character or game journal. Four comes in, you guessed it, four flavors, each featuring a different number and arrangement of links.
Want to see what this code looks like as a splash page? Check out
11billionghosts for a live preview! You'll find live previews of each version of this design with individual codes for each below.
HOW TO USE:
❣️ Scroll down to get the specific code for the moodboard you want to use.
❣️ Mind those lj-raw tags!!
❣️ This code is mobile friendly and insanejournal friendly!
❣️ Want to use this code as a splash page for your journal? Check out Manx's guide to making splash pages on Dreamwidth, or Tess's guide for insanejournal!
❣️ Find IMG_URL in the code and change that to a still image or gif. Images will auto-resize, but you may want to fiddle with the background position and size to get something that fits well.
❣️ Remember to replace all #URL_HERE's with the appropriate URL.
❣️ Looking for the text you need to edit? Keep an eye out for !!HEADER!! and !!LINK!!
❣️ hex code #509fd3 denotes the "primary" color, which is used for the links and for any of the 4 main images if they don't receive an image url.
❣️ hex code #11659c is your header color, as well as the color of the four right-side bars.
❣️ hex code #8fbbd9 is a slightly lighter shade that controls the color of the central "bar" in all four codes.
❣️ Not sure if this needs to be said, but you can always use as many colors as you'd like when customizing codes! You don't need to stay consistent with what's in the template. Especially when I use grays, as they can make a design hard to see/read. As you can see in my samples, I went off script from the color coding in the template for almost every one.
❣️ This code does have a credit at the very bottom. I'd love if you kept it in there, but you can delete it if you want. NBD.
I love to see what people have done with my code, so drop me a comment with a link if you're using any of the '98 code set in a way you think is neat! If you're feeling generous, you can also donate to my ko-fi! I'm a freelancer, and while I will always provide free codes, we live in end-stage capitalist hell, so $$ is a big motivator.
This code is compatible with insanejournal.

First up is a straightforward code with four links.
Next up we have six links!
This code pushes the links to the top and offers space for five of them.
Aaand finally, a slightly different spin on four links!
Enjoy!
Enjoy!
